Issues
I work with clients on a variety of issues including but not limited to:
Depression
Do you struggle with depression? Do you sometimes get better, regress, then get better again? Healing isn’t linear. Together, we will work toward understanding the root causes of your depression and hopelessness so that you can manage it and thrive in your life.
Personal Growth
When we let go of old parts of ourselves it allows us to make room to cultivate the new. You can be the person in the present versus the person from the past. Making a change in one's work or love life can be transformational or fear-inducing. Whether you need support to make a shift, find clarity for a more meaningful path, or need renewed confidence, I can assist in the process.
Anxiety
Have you heard of fight, flight, or freeze? The good news is that you can learn to repair your stressed nervous system with breathing techniques, mindfulness practices, movement, and productive ways of expressing anger and sadness as part of your therapy process.
Codependency
Codependency is a learned behavior that is often passed down from one generation to the next. It is an emotional and behavioral condition that affects an individual’s ability to have a healthy, mutually satisfying relationship. The good news is that we can learn a new and different way of interacting with others. Through communication and setting boundaries we can learn to feel good about the relationships in our lives.
Trauma
Trauma leaves people in a state of heightened alarm. It’s as if your body thinks the traumatic event is still happening all the time. It’s important then, to focus on ways to release the trauma that may be stored not just in your mind, but in your physical body.
Relationships
Are you struggling with communication blocks, grieving, or dealing with loss or betrayal? Trusting again can be difficult if you have been hurt. However, healing comes from finding relationships that show you that you are lovable, worthy, and resilient. Let’s begin to repair this deeply painful relational wound. You matter, and you are worth it!
